Job Overview:
The Sous Chef supports the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the preparation of high-quality dishes. This role involves assisting in menu development, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and executing menus.
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure efficient workflow.
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Monitor inventory, food cost, and reduce waste.
- Maintain cleanliness and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Step in for the Executive Chef during their absence.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
- Strong culinary skills and food safety knowledge.
- Excellent leadership and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
